GitHub Access Token Guide

To use Syntra AI's advanced features, you need to provide a GitHub Personal Access Token. This allows the agent to interact with GitHub models and services on your behalf.

1. How to get your Access Token

  1. Go to GitHub Token Settings.
  2. Click on "Generate new token" (Classic is recommended).
  3. Give your token a descriptive name (e.g., "Syntra AI").
  4. Select the scopes/permissions you want to grant (at minimum, you may need repo or gist depending on your tasks).
  5. Scroll to the bottom and click "Generate token".
  6. Copy your token immediately. You won't be able to see it again!

2. Increasing Model Limits (Upgrade)

If you encounter rate limits or want to use more powerful models, you can upgrade your GitHub Models access:

  1. Visit the GitHub Models Settings.
  2. Here you can manage your access, view usage limits, and request higher tiers if available.
  3. Upgrading here will directly increase the capacity of your token when used with Syntra.
Security Note: Your token is stored locally in your browser's storage. Never share your token with anyone else.
